Together these creative magicians created what has become one of our favorite forms of entertainment today.
Mat Franco is a world-champion sleight-of-hand magician and has appeared on Penn and Teller’s Fool Us; therefore his show at The LINQ Hotel promises an entertaining mixture of comedy and magic, such as disappearing objects and amazing card tricks in this fast-paced show. Don’t miss it if you love magic!
Robert-Houdin
At the time of Jean-Eugene Robert-Houdin’s birth in 1805, magic was mostly limited to street performances or village fairs where vagabonds could gather. Once Houdin entered the scene however, magic took an unimaginably significant step into theatres and eventually flourished into an exquisite art.
His small theatre could only seat several hundred people, yet was meticulously designed with illusion in mind. He used hatch systems and intricate mechanisms to craft his tricks before combining them with showmanship and humor to deliver stunning performances that wowed audiences.
One of his signature illusions, known as Light and Heavy Chest, allowed viewers to lift an apparently impossible box, becoming an iconic symbol of modern magical performance.
David Copperfield
David Copperfield is one of the great icons of magic, known for his stunning illusions including his signature Goose Act. This high-energy production features some jaw-dropping feats – but is also family friendly!
The David Copperfield Theater at MGM Grand provides intimate seating that lets audiences fully experience his incredible feats of magic and illusion. Here you will witness all his brilliant sleight of hand acts with masterful ease!
Sam Strange and Richard Young provide a stunning finale, creating an unforgettable magic show with their grand illusionist talents. Together they have an entertaining chemistry while performing “big box” tricks; whether sabotaging each other’s attempts or simply poking fun at each other’s dislike for one another; watching these two is simply magical!
Siegfried & Roy
Siegfried Fischbacher, one half of the acclaimed Las Vegas magic duo known as Siegfried & Roy, passed away peacefully Wednesday at home in his Las Vegas residence aged 81 years.
The duo was one of Las Vegas’s most beloved big cat acts. Their shows included exotic animals such as tigers, lions and leopards in addition to smoke machines, lasers and sequined costumes – creating an unforgettable spectacle!
Roy Horn was severely mauled during a performance at the Mirage hotel in 2003 by Mantecore, leaving him partially paralyzed and with crushed windpipe. This incident ended one of Vegas’ most beloved shows; afterwards, Horn and Mantecore continued their animal conservation work and charity contributions together, while Horn may never recover his ability to walk on his own again.
Shin Lim
Shin Lim is one of the world’s best-known magicians today, known for his intricate close-up card tricks that have appeared on several popular television programs such as Penn & Teller: Fool Us, America’s Got Talent and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Additionally, Lim headlines a show called Limitless at Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
On AGT, he was joined by Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Melissa Fumero for an incredible card routine that perfectly synced their movements to Sting’s “Shape of My Heart”. Their movements were so fluid that you might mistake it for ballet!
