The Most Expensive Casino Buildings in the World

Gambling has become an increasingly popular pastime around the world, but nothing quite compares to playing at a casino. Although online casinos have become increasingly popular, there are still several iconic brick-and-mortar establishments that remain among the best in existence.

City of Dreams

City of Dreams is one of the world’s largest and priciest casino buildings, located near Venetian and Sands Cotai resorts in Macau.

City of Dreams, targeted at younger tourists, will bring a fresh approach to Macau’s gambling scene and boost visitor numbers while luring in new customers. The hotel provides an oasis for those wanting to unwind while having some fun.

The hotel boasts an array of dining options. Guests can sample Mediterannean cuisine at T for Tapas or enjoy French classics at Louvre Cafe.

City of Dreams offers an array of activities beyond shopping and casino gaming. It is definitely worth visiting if you are in Macau; its luxurious resort will surely leave you wanting more! You’re sure to want to come back again soon!

Venetian Macao

Macau is a world-class gaming mecca and home to one of the world’s most expensive casino buildings: Venetian Macao. This 3,000 suite mega resort replicates Venice, Italy’s famed architectural canals and icons in an evocative replica.

It also boasts a 15,000-seat arena, luxurious entertainment facilities and one of the region’s largest meeting and exhibition centres. Furthermore, there are several restaurants and 850 duty-free shops within its boundaries.

The Venetian’s ring-shaped casino boasts more games than any other in Macau, boasting 600 tables and over 1,000 slot machines. Plus, there are poker tables as well as two concert venues which regularly host international artists like Katy Perry or Bon Jovi.

The Venetian is an integrated resort featuring branded shopping, an outdoor pool and 30 stylish dining options serving Chinese, Japanese and international cuisines on site. Its guest rooms boast an elegant tone with noble decor, flat-screen TV and en suite bathroom with bathtub.

Wynn Palace

Wynn Resorts has set the bar for luxury with their latest property, the X-shaped, gold-hued Wynn Palace. Opened in August 2016, this stunning building is situated next to a performing lake and boasts 1,706 sumptuous rooms, suites and villas.

The hotel boasts an impressive collection of rare art. Tapestries, paintings and sculptures adorn its halls, corridors and walkways alike.

Floral design is another prominent theme at the resort, with large scale floral displays designed by renowned event designer Preston Bailey featured in many of its atrium entrances. These include a 4.8 metre floral carousel and 6.8 metre Ferris wheel featuring 83,000 and 103,000 blooms respectively.

The interiors are inspired by Chinese design, featuring vibrant green accents and floral details throughout every space – from guest rooms to restaurants and shops. Targetti’s high output LED tape light strips emit pure, sharp color for an eye-catching effect in coves and architectural features.

Resorts World Sentosa

Resorts World Sentosa, situated off Singapore’s southern shoreline, is one of the world’s largest integrated resorts. It features a casino, six hotels and three theme parks.

This casino boasts over 2,400 slot machines and electronic table games, plus 500 tables like blackjack, poker and baccarat. Plus it has several restaurants and bars to enjoy.

In 2010, Resorts World Sentosa opened as one of the most expensive casino buildings ever constructed – costing nearly $5 billion to construct. Since then, it has grown substantially.

International architect Michael Graves & Associates designed Resorts World Sentosa. The concept behind the design is inspired by a tropical island, featuring an expansive shoreline and polygonal shapes inspired by ship shapes.
